Dark Saints and the Pale Horseman is the first book in Liam Maddock's historical fantasy trilogy, "The Academy Chronicles". Set during a semi-fictitious WWII, the story is the fight between good and evil as magic powers unveil themselves.
The custom logotype was a main feature of the cover, as it will eventually tie all three books together. Liam also wanted to try to represent some of the alchemical symbolism that weaves throughout the plot, which plays here in the background illustration. Astute observers won't get any spoilers from the cover, but they're likely to see a handful of hints hiding here.
